EVENTS

A private, peaceful and intimate event space has been created in the far corner of the field.  Facilities are simple and basic including a field kitchen to allow cooking on coals with hand washing facilities, a fire pit and a compost toilet.

We encourage events that do not require power and large infrastructure.  Vehicle access to the field is extremely restricted and most events require guests to park in the village and arrive on foot.  Disabled access is available with prior arrangement.

In 2013, Halfpenny Field paid host to several events including several local wedding and anniversary parties, The Home Fires album launch concert and The Christopher Dash (an annual family sporting event).

Halfpenny Field have also teamed up with Lorna Knapman of Love Food Festival, based in Bristol to create ‘Field Trip Events’ and hope to run smallish events (30 to 50 people) at Halfpenny Field, with larger events being held at alternative venues around the West Country.

In 2014, we will be running training courses in dry stone walling and other educational events such as food foraging, apple juice and cider making and sessions on running a small holding.  Details to follow soon...

If you are interested in using Halfpenny Field for an event then please get in touch.
